in the National Championship, be
included in the extra activities
and drawings. The party
passes are only $40 and this
will be a great way to
experience Las Vegas like a
Highroller, but act fast because

Poker League Players Earn Their
Shot at Party at the Palms Final
On
Sunday, May 3rd 122 players came
together from all over the state
of South Dakota at the Thirsty
Duck in Sioux Falls to compete
for their shot at the National
Championship at the Kingpin
Suite in the Palms Casino in Las
Vegas. The following week
on Saturday, May 9th at the
Westside Bar & Grill 149 players
from North Dakota had their
Party at the Palms Championship.
The South Dakota winners were
Cody Olson (Humboldt Muni &
South Bar), Anthony Rempher
(Alpine), Eric Tycz,
Nicole Kaul, and Doug
Magee (all from Sportsmen's
Rendezvous).
 The North Dakota winners were
Jay Tooley (Southside
Saloon), Jeff Gab
(Champs), Josh Duchscherer
(Seven's Bar), Jeri Schmidt
(Pheasant Cafe), Peter
Bucknall (Seib's), Nancy
Just (Lariat Lounge),
Ryan Cordero (Wahpeton Vets
Club), John Muckenhirn
(Rudy's), Christopher Boehm
(Westside Bar), and Brent
Ploeg (Lonesome Dove).
Anthony Rempher,
Nicole Kaul, and Jay
Tooley all won $500 towards
travel expenses. Seven
other players in North Dakota
did a chop to each get $333
towards travel expenses.
Doug
Magee, the hottest poker
player in the league after
winning a WPT Cruise Package
($3500) and then the $10K High
Roller Package will take his
shot at being the first ever
Free Poker Network champion to
win two grand prizes through the
league. Doug has won more
money through the league than
any other player and will try to
expand on it on June 28th at the
Party at the Palms Championship
as he competes against 49 other
players for one of the WSOP
buy-ins on Monday, June 29th! |
Doug Magee
Ship It! National Champion.
Doug Magee from Tyndall,
SD won the single table National
Championship onboard the
Norwegian Spirit against the
other Ship It! champions.
By winning Doug won the $10,000
Highroller Package which
includes 2 WSOP events and entry
into four other tournaments.
The day before Doug participated
in a $150 buy-in tournament with
the other Ship It! champions and
other people onboard the cruise
and won it for a cool $2,600.
Hopefully Doug will be able to
keep his momentum going and
continues to cash in his six
different events!
